It will be recalled that the Dubai Police had arrested the two wanted fraudsters, “Hushpuppi” and “Woodberry”, along with ten African cyber-criminals in a special operation dubbed “Fox Hunt 2”, about three weeks ago.
Hushpuppi who was arrested with 12 others for online fraud targeting companies and individuals, was being questioned by prosecutors at the Bur Dubai section. The prosecutors also charged him for obtaining money from others through fraudulent means.
However, on Thursday, the Dubai Police announced that the popular Nigerian Instagram celebrity, Raymond Abbas, also known as Hushpuppi and Olalekan Jacob known as Woodberry have been extradited to the United States, for further prosecution.
But in her reaction, Presidential aide to President Buhari on social media, Lauretta Onochie, mocked the the suspects, in a Tweet on Thursday and said:
“BREAKING: Dubai Police Hands Over notorious Ramoni Igbalode ‘Hushpuppi’ To FBI In The US.
He will be gone for a loooong time, dressed only in the orange jumpsuit of American prison. Crime pays, only for a split moment. Nothing is worth losing ones freedom.
Stay away from Crime !”
